Interpersona 1(2) Editorial Editorial Agnaldo Garcia ICIRR - Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, Brazil
Download Text in PDF The second issue of “Interpersona: An International Journal on Personal Relationships” presents the contributions of authors from the United States of America, Greece, Poland, Sweden, and the Philippines. In its first year, the journal succeeded in publishing papers from nine different countries, from the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Again, I am grateful to the cooperation of all authors who submitted papers and to the reviewers from 22 countries who carefully evaluated manuscripts for this second issue.
Interpersona is an online journal of free access aiming at internationalizing relationship research. In this sense, the journal has been completely successful. At the end of its first year, Interpersona’s editorial board is composed of 93 reviewers from 37 countries all over the world (from all continents on Earth). We do hope that the journal will contribute to the internationalization of research on personal relationships, promoting international participation and cooperation. As an online journal of free access, established scholars may have their work accessible to a much larger audience and new scholars and students all over the world, especially in developing countries, may have access to scientific information, promoting knowledge and research in the area.
Finally, I would like to invite authors from any country to submit papers reporting the results of quantitative or qualitative research and to remind potential contributors that theoretical papers and reviews are also welcome. New reviewers are also necessary. If you have a PhD degree (or similar) and are eager to review one paper a year, than you are also invited to join our editorial board. Authors are invited to send books for reviewing. The advancement of our knowledge on personal relationships will certainly contribute to the scientific and social development of many nations worldwide. < Back to contents
